V-neck shoes are one of the season's hottest trends. Phoebe Philo, known for her expertise in shoe design, was one of the first to highlight them during her tenure at Céline, launching pieces made of supple leather that hugged the foot like a sock, designs that first appeared in the fall/winter of 2016. Matthieu Blazy, meanwhile, continued to evolve the silhouette with new interpretations at the Chanel Métiers d'art show, worn by models who walked the runway at a metro station. There, the house's iconic two-tone slingbacks appeared with a tapered V-shaped upper—in white/black, black/white, red/black, and baby blue/black—and studs on the heel straps.
