Low-rise skirt: Will you succumb to the trend?
Low-rise skirt: Will you succumb to the trend?
High-rise or low-rise? The battle continues, with both camps having equally loyal fans. However, looking at the trends that emerged from the catwalks for Spring/Summer 2026, we see that next season's must-have item will be the low-rise skirt, which is no longer just for Gen Z but for everyone.
At New York Fashion Week, the low-rise skirt made an appearance in the Tory Burch collection with knitted polo tops and ladylike skirts, shaping the new office style. The Tove brand also proposed low-rise skirts in sand tones, while Daniel Lee at Burberry also adopted the trend.
The new low-rise line is not reminiscent of the 00s, but is particularly elegant, closer to the clean aesthetic of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. This is also due to its texture, as it is not denim, but shiny leather or suede, exuding a more luxurious effect. One thing is certain: we won't wait until next spring to adopt this style. You can combine a low-rise A-line skirt at the office with a knitted top and knee-high boots or fitted boots. The belt is the extra detail that makes all the difference.
